SYNOPSIS

From the stop motion animation company, Laika – Kubo and the Two Strings (2016)

Missing Link follows "myths and monsters investigator,” Sir Lionel Frost, who sets off on an adventure to the Pacific Northwest to prove the existence of a legendary creature—a Bigfoot named Mr. Link!

REVIEW SUMMARY

Missing Link is unquestionably an exquisitely crafted and effortlessly delightful animated gem. The adventure story that plays out is chock full of wispy little wonders with plenty of charm to spare. However, littler filmgoers expecting more of the same hyper-paced humour of other current animated films, may find themselves a tad disappointed (a “Lego movie” this is not). The characters are all likeable enough though and rather easy to root for. The talented voice cast also shines, having clearly brought their A-game to the recording table. "Susan," our titular missing link, is especially quirky thanks in part to Zach Galifianakis' unique cadences. And while the characters and journey are fun and all, the film's visuals are the ultimate treat here. The studio that gave us ParaNorman and Kubo and the Two Strings strike big yet again with a stop motion feast for the eyeballs. Lets keep those creative dishes coming please!
