REVIEW SUMMARY

Spider-man: Into The Spider-verse spins out a spectacular must see spectacle! And in a day and age where comic book / superhero movies are a dime a dozen, there takes a special kind of film to break the mould and take the genre to new heights - this is that movie. For one, the vibrant animation is delicious cinematic eye candy (the pop art style alone is enough to make Andy Warhol jealous). The animation is sensationally stylized like a comic book without being gimmicky or distracting. And don’t be fooled, just because this is an animated film, doesn’t mean the story isn't smart, affecting or engrossing. Au contraire - this film has many, many layers and successfully delivers what could be a silly and complicated plot. So, is this animated Spider-Man movie the best we’ve seen our friendly neighbourhood "Wall-Crawler" on the big screen? Sorry Toby Maguire, Andrew Garfield and, gulp -even you Tom Holland, it sure is!
