REVIEW SUMMARY

Here we go again folks – it’s time another instalment in the “After” film franchise, or as I refer to it: Young Adult Fifty Shades-lite. And, what can I say, it’s no improvement over the train-wrecks that have come before it. As laughable as it is "lustful," After We Fell doubles down on the awful dialogue, lifeless performances, and downright ridiculous plot developments. Yes, our leads, Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin, are once again incredibly nice to look at, but, again, that’s pretty much it. With their onscreen on-again/off-again soap opera relationship as tumultuous as ever, the pair come across as petty babies more times than not (especially Hardin - his tantrums are so – very – tiresome). The movie is pretty much a spin cycle of paltry fights, awkward lovemaking, and predictable plot twists. Some may call it silly escapism, but I prefer hilariously bad. And to my horror, it looks like I’ll have to brace for more cheap heat in the future, as the movie ends with a literal “To Be Continued.” So, there’s that…
