REVIEW SUMMARY
Good news - the signature sun-kissed action and buddy comedy still hit hard in this third Bad Boys outing. And for their parts, Smith and Lawrence prove they can still bring the goods after all these years. Yep, the pair’s likeable charisma still shines through, even if their energy is somewhat dimmed at this point in their careers. Things aren't all perfect here though (far from it), as the plot is not only predictably absurd and dumbed down to the max, it's also littered with plot holes galore. We also get a bunch of questionable transitions and kitschy camera cuts, making some moments feel "TV sitcom-like." And the less I say about the stilted dialogue the better. Luckily for all involved however, the action is all kinds of explosive, no doubt borrowing heavily from the over the top Fast and Furious formula. But while they set things up for another potential sequel, I'd be perfectly fine if these Bad Boys rode off into the Miami sunset for good. I guess time (and box office tallies) will tell.
