REVIEW SUMMARY

Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe is best summed up in 3 words: stupid, horny, hilarious! In a world of reboots and sequels, none have been quite as refreshingly dumb as Beavis and Butt-Head (and I mean that in the best way possible). The humour of Mike Judge (creator / writer / voice) is apparently timeless, as it still hits all the right tones all these years later. The plot, as ridiculous as it is, is also quite fun. Our dim-witted pair is transported to the present day through a wormhole no less. There’s also some government agents and politicians in the mix, akin to B & B’s 1996 film. But, at its core, are the silly and juvenile hijinks we know and love. Does the movie have something to say about our morally lacking and often-times corrupt modern world? I suppose – if you look hard enough. But just seeing Beavis and Butt-Head deal with things like technology and “white privilege” is entertaining to the max. So yes, hats off to Mike Judge and his team for bringing back these two horned-up airheads when we need them most. And honestly, if you don’t laugh at this film, then you are probably a fart-knocker!
