REVIEW SUMMARY
To answer your question - yes, Once Upon A Deadpool is a cash grab. Sure, but it’s a highly entertaining one! Now this isn't mandatory or necessary viewing for any Deadpool fans out there. This is especially true if you’ve seen Deadpool 2 – after all, It’s the same movie with just inserts of our red masked "merc with a mouth" interacting with Freed Savage. Plus, the movie has been heavily neutered to give it a nice PG-13 rating. Firstly, the Fred Savage stuff is actually pretty funny with Savage holding his own next to the always pitch perfect Reynalds. However, it’s not nearly funny enough to warrant buying a ticket just to see the 6 or so little inserts. Now, for those that were not able to see Deadpool 2 because, well, you were too young – then yes, this movie is for you. The PG-13 rating doesn’t hurt things tooo much and the film still works as an extremely entertaining superhero flick. But make no mistake, Deadpool is best with a hard R-rating - the bloodier and more offensive the better. Sorry kiddos.
