REVIEW SUMMARY
Sing 2 is an animated sequel that hits all the right notes. Blending feel-good music with an endearing story, this is a wonderful time for the whole family. So, kind of like the first instalment? Yeah, pretty much – except this time they’re in Vegas… err, make that “Redshore City.” Here’s the thing, the characters (and there is a lot of them) are just plain fun to watch. Yes, they are animated, but that doesn’t make you root for them any less. The main voice cast does a great job once more, even adding some welcome talent to the mix. Bono - is that really you!? Of course, it’s the music that keeps things rockn’ along. There are some really fun renditions here, including “Bad Guy,” “Let’s Go Crazy,” and "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For." The film’s original song, "Your Song Saved My Life” by U2, is a pretty impactful ballad if I must say so myself. Add in the expected madcap hijinks (where’s Miss Crawley’s eye going now?), a vibrant colour pallet and harmless humour, and you’ve got a welcome bit of holiday entertainment.
