SYNOPSIS

The second of the Star Wars anthology films.

Young Han Solo finds adventure when he joins a gang of galactic smugglers, including a 196-year-old Wookie named Chewbacca. Indebted to the gangster Dryden Vos, the crew devises a daring plan to travel to the mining planet Kessel to steal a batch of valuable coaxium. In need of a fast ship, Solo meets Lando Calrissian, the suave owner of the perfect vessel for the dangerous mission -- the Millennium Falcon.

REVIEW SUMMARY

"Solo: A Star Wars Story is like a ride on the Millennium Falcon: starts a little rocky, picks up speed half way through but most importantly, sticks the landing. Alden makes for a decent Han but never reaches what Harrison Ford did with the iconic character. Some hardcore fans might find it a bit empty – nothing of MAJOR significance to the Star Wars story at large – but there are plenty of fun Easter Eggs to be found. Overall, the film falls under the really good / not great category. Look for scene stealing scenes from Chewie and Lando though!"
