REVIEW SUMMARY

An extravagant concert movie spectacle to beat all others, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour is sure to stir Swifties into quite the frenzy - and for good reason! This, of course, is a literal close up look at the singing sensation that is Taylor Swift doing what she does best – dazzling audiences. Taken from her final US stops in 2023 (at California’s So-Fi stadium), the lavish musical extravaganza shows exactly why this tour was (and continues to be) a cultural touchstone. Trust me, it’s a front row seat to unadulterated grandeur. Here, cameras capture all the glorious details (hey look, there’s moss on the piano), not to mention Swift’s cinematic makeup and costume design. It’s up close and oh-so personal. It’s so close, in fact, you’ll even see the slightest bit of forehead sweat on our star! But, will moviegoers even notice? I ask that because I’m almost certain everyone will be too busy singing and swaying along in their seats. It really is set up to be a communal viewing “event.” Yes, the music never sounded so good, as the volume is cranked to the heavens for the album-by-album celebration. Don’t know anything about T-Swift or her songs going in? Not to worry, you don’t need to. Plus, the film makes it clear what “era” is being depicted when thanks to screen cards. From “Lover,” to “Fearless,” to “Folklore,” it’s a nearly 3-hour rockin’ (and often mesmerizing) good time. Let’s face it, it’s Taylor’s world – we’re just living in it!
