SYNOPSIS
Based on true events - a cover-up that spanned four U.S. presidents pushed the country's first female newspaper publisher, Kay Graham of The Washington Post, and its hard-driving editor, Ben Bradlee, to join an unprecedented battle between journalism and government in publishing the Pentagon Papers.
REVIEW SUMMARY
"Streep, Hanks and Spielberg do what they do best: make quality cinema. Meryl Streep especially shines in her role giving a pitch perfect performance. The “thriller” aspect of this “political thriller” is somewhat anaemic, but there is great drama to be had. The Post is also incredibly timely, working in its favour. Go see it for the performances alone and you’ll leave the cinema very happy."
