REVIEW SUMMARY

Here's the thing, if you have seen the trailer for Ticket to Paradise, then you've pretty much seen the movie. That is to say, this is exactly as advertised - no more, no less. It's predictable, it's cliched, it's... kinda comforting. There's something "feel good" about movies that are harmless in nature. Is it fluff? Yeah, pretty much. But, what elevates the enjoyment of this flick  are the A-list talent involved. Julia Roberts and George Clooney are always a pleasure to watch on the screen, and this outing is no exception. It's no secret that the pair are longtime showbiz friends, and their chemistry continues to show that. And frankly, they look like they are having fun with it all, embracing the genre silliness. And silly it is, as the plot is not only preposterous, but rather goofy at times. But, like any good romantic comedy, there are genuine heartwarming moments to be found. Luckily, George and Julia are there to do the heavy lifting, otherwise it likely wouldn't work. Will this end up on either of their career highlight reels though? Not a chance!
