REVIEW SUMMARY
Unoriginal, uninspired, and nearly unwatchable, Fatal Affair is the type of film that’ll make you angry for having watched it in the first place. The plot is just so derivative here, feeling like a copy of a copy of a copy… The movie also suffers from some rather cheesy dialogue and odd acting choices, making for more than a handful of laughable moments. The film’s “so bad it’s funny” vibe might be its only saving grace however, as at least there’s some entertainment to be found in its cringe-ness. Unfortunately, there’s not many other redeeming qualities to be found, especially in the aforementioned acting department. Now to be fair, it may be the material they’ve been given to work with, but Omar Epps is absurdly over the top, while Nia Long is embarrassingly cliched in her portrayal. The rest of the cast are so unmemorable, they’re hardly worth mentioning at all. The only good thing about a film this forgettable, is how quickly you can rid its contents from your brain!
