SYNOPSIS

Thirteen-year-old Kayla endures the tidal wave of contemporary suburban adolescence as she makes her way through the last week of middle school -- the end of her thus far disastrous eighth-grade year.

REVIEW SUMMARY

"Eighth Grade completely nails it by taking authenticity to a whole new level.  EVERYTHING in this film is incredibly believable (thanks in part to Elsie Fisher's wonderful performance). This is a rare indie / art-house film that general audiences will not only be able to relate to, but enjoy. Oh, and you should definitely take your kids to this one too."
