SYNOPSIS

Is the third instalment in the John Wick film series, following John Wick (2014) and John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017)

Legendary hitman John Wick must fight his way out of New York when a $14 million contract on his life makes him the target of the world's top assassins. Being declared as excommunicado after killing D'Antonio on Continental grounds, the chances of survival have never been thinner for Wick.

REVIEW SUMMARY

Strap in, the 3rd chapter in the highly entertaining John Wick franchise is nothing short of a blitzkrieg of action personified. In fact, this movie pretty much has everything you'd want in a contemporary actioner: neon-soaked aesthetics, motorcycle chases, knife fights, deadly horse rides in Times Square, use of a library book as a lethal weapon, ninjas, groin attacking dogs... And with this instalment upping the ante in every which way, the film's trademark choreography ("Gun-Fu" anyone?) also gets the over the top treatment - with glorious results! Bar none, this is the best fight choreography you’ll find on any movie screen, anywhere! Admittedly though, it does get to be a littllllle overkill in the final act, even for John Wick standards. But trust me, your overall enjoyment level will ultimately be higher than the on-screen body count - and in this movie, that’s saying something!
