James Silva is an operative of the CIA’s most highly-prized and least-understood unit. Aided by a top-secret tactical command team, Silva must retrieve and transport Li Noor, a valuable intelligence asset who holds life-threatening information, through 22 miles of hostile territory to reach an extraction point.

REVIEW SUMMARY

"While Mile 22 is indeed intense, it's also unnecessarily convoluted and over kill more times than not.  Yes, it's watchable and yes, it can be at times compelling, but the whole things feels like a mess that only gets worse as the movie goes on. I won't even get into the head scratching finale. This is a film that should have been a lot better given the people involved. Maybe Wahlberg and Peter Berg's inevitable 5th movie collab will hit the mark?"
