REVIEW SUMMARY

The shockingly inspired by true events film, White Lie, is no doubt captivating through and through. The movie does an excellent job of building the drama surrounding the immensely tangled web weaved to a boiling point. And knowing that the story is based on a real-life occurrence only adds to its disturbing nature. But, this isn’t simply a “lie gone awry” plot, as there is plenty of depth given to the reasons behind it. The acting of Kacey Rohl deserves major kudos here, as she masterfully invokes all the dizzying emotions her character goes through (she’s so good, you almost root for her at points). This is ultimately a story of love, loss, and acceptance though, one that will make you equal parts angry and sad. You may be a little disappointed at the lack of resolution however, as things end rather frustratingly open. But, the truth of the matter is, this white lie is definitely worth your time!
