SYNOPSIS

Is the 11th instalment in the Halloween film series, and a direct sequel to the 1978 film of the same name (disregards the continuity of the previous sequels).

It's been 40 years since Laurie Strode survived a vicious attack from crazed killer Michael Myers on Halloween night. Myers manages to escape captivity when his bus transfer goes horribly wrong. Laurie now faces a terrifying showdown when the masked madman returns.

REVIEW SUMMARY

Happy Halloween horror fans! Halloween 2018 is the raw, taut and brutal franchise sequel you've been waiting for. A returning Jamie Lee Curtis really sinks her teeth into her character and pretty much nails the crazed grandma with a gun role. And while the “kills” aren’t as creative as some other slasher flicks, they don’t need to be here. This movie benefits from skipping the gimmicks and grounding things with true blunt terror.  In the end, Michael Myers remains an effectively scary (albeit super slow moving) movie monster legend. Halloween 2018 is truly a worthy sequel that can best be described as a modern day slasher-piece.
