An abundance of bodily fluids, full-on crotch shots, and genuine hilarity make Jackass Forever a highly captivating watch. Yes, Johnny Knoxville and Co have once again put their bodies and sanity on the line for our entertainment. And let me tell you – it’s a gloriously disgusting and extremely crass spectacle. And not unlike the previous entries in this “franchise,” there’s also plenty of creativity when it comes to the sicko stunts. Ok, maybe there’s more than a few too many call-backs to previous acts of degradation, but there’s certainly nice little twists added to them. Of course, it all works because of the motley crew of friends who take part in it all. There’s such a natural comradery on display that it becomes almost heartwarming at times. Yeah – I said it. It’s especially nice to know that these “entertainers” have overcome some terribly dire addictions (even Steve O). You may note that Viva La Bam is not in the mix here, and that’s because he didn’t pass the film’s wellness checks. And while there are lots of new faces, they are admittedly lacking the natural charisma of the OG group. It was cool to see a lady in the mix, though! As for the celebrity cameos, I mostly could have done without them. Was it fun to see Machine Gun Kelly slapped into a freezing cold pool by a giant mechanical hand? Yeah – but there was also a lot of celeb pandering going on, something that feels antithetical to the Jackass brand. Regardless, for those that dig it, this is one helluva fun time! Maybe layoff the popcorn while watching it though!
