SYNOPSIS

Based on the 2012 graphic novel of the same name by cartoonist John "Derf" Backderf, who had been friends with Dahmer in high school in the 1970s

Jeffrey Dahmer struggles with a difficult family life as a boy. During his teenage years, he slowly transforms and edges closer to becoming a serial killer.

REVIEW SUMMARY

"My Friend Dahmer is incredibly well acted with Disney child star Ross Lynch doing a superb job.  The film straddles the line of “humanizing” a future serial killer monster, which is somewhat uncomfortable given the hellacious crimes of Dahmer. Makes for an interesting watch for true crime fans."
