REVIEW SUMMARY
A pleasing raunch-fest with heart, No Hard Feelings is just what the R-rated comedy doctor ordered! In a notoriously “hit or miss” genre, just know that the ratio of jokes landing is much higher than not. And, it can mostly be attributed to our super game leads – Jennifer Lawrence and Andrew Barth Feldman. Lawrence is especially funny here, as she lets her hair down (among other things) and truly commits to the many physical comedy moments. Of course, the A-list actress has got more than enough dramatic chops to bring home the emotional stakes also (she is an Oscar winner after all). J-Law’s lucky to paired with Feldman though, who also goes for broke in the physical comedy department. This is one fearless kid, let me tell you. The duo have a genuinely amusing rapport, making their onscreen antics that much more fun to see play out. Unfortunately, it’s all very predictable. Yes, you’ll definitely know where it’s headed and the “lessons” that will be learned pretty much from the get-go. But, thanks to a delightfully talented cast and some legitimate laugh-out-loud moments, the unsurprising outcome becomes forgivable. I guess you can, there’s no hard feelings.
