SYNOPSIS
Based on a true story that was published in The Wall Street Journal
At nine years old, a group of tight-knit friends--Hoagie, Jerry, Bob, Chili and Kevin--created a game of tag that they played through the month of May. After thirty years, it was the thing that brought them together, even when their lives took them in different directions. However, this might be the last, as it seems like Jerry--who's never been tagged--might quit.
REVIEW SUMMARY
"Definitely don’t run away from the silly premise – this movie surprisingly works as a solid buddy comedy. However, while it is mostly always entertaining and surprisingly heartfelt, some of the gags can feel a tad old by the end. The cast surely deserves credit for elevating the script at hand past the mediocre mark. Tag is so far 2018's best bet for top summertime comedy (better than Book Club / Life of the Party / Action Point / I Feel Pretty...)"
