REVIEW SUMMARY
Zoe Lister-Jones’ part sequel/part reboot of The Craft (24 years later) has a fun little edgy vibe, but is far from perfect. Unfortunately, the completely lacklustre third act derails all the good that was set up prior (seriously, it starts off so promising). You see, this movie takes some progressive chances with its characters and themes (all welcome ones mind you). Our main antagonist, Lily, is especially likeable here, and is given a curious little situation to navigate. It’s just a shame it had to end with an incredibly lame supernatural showdown. Frankly, I’ve seen better climaxes on that 90’s TV series Charmed. So, while not going to cast a spell on too many adult moviegoers, it will surely entertain the teen crowd with a handful of witchy delights.
